The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), and autonomous body under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced that it has renewed its MoU with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), an Indo-French collaboration for promoting solar energy solutions.

The MoU was renewed on August 1, 2025 and was formally signed by Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General of NISE, and Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director General of ISA.

The MoU will see the two institutions drive innovation in renewable energy technologies, foster a global collaboration on Green Hydrogen, empower professionals through structured skilling initiatives, and support member countries in achieving their sustainability goals as their stated objective.

A statement on LinkedIn said, “This collaboration marks a significant step forward in accelerating the deployment of Solar Energy, advancing Green Hydrogen technologies, and promoting Skilling & Capacity Building across the clean energy ecosystem.”
