11th ISUW Begins In Delhi With The First GBM Of AIDA

The 11th edition of India Smart Utility Week (ISUW) commenced on March 18 at The Lalit in New Delhi. The first day saw the first General Body Meeting of the All India DISCOMs Association (AIDA) being held. The meeting saw attendance by 18 DISCOMs from all over India.

The meeting was chaired by AIDA President, Mr Lokesh Chandra and co-chaired by its General Secretary, Mr Ashish Goel. The meeting was also attended by Mr Ashok Kumar, former Secretary at Ministry of Power, who now serves as the first DG of AIDA.

Among the things discussed at the meeting were the accumulation of regulatory assets, knowledge-sharing mechanisms, inter-DISCOM coordination, standardization of operational rules, and capacity-building initiatives for power professionals.

AIDA, launched by Minister of Power Mr Manohar Lal, on 14 November 24, is a not-for-profit society formed by India’s DISCOMs under the Ministry of Power. The association aims to foster experience-sharing, capacity-building, and collaborative solutions among DISCOMs.
