Carin Oil & Gas Signs Contract With Parker Wellbore

India’s largest Oil & Gas exploration and production company has entered into an agreement with technology provider Parker Wellbore to expand its operations in India using high-performance 2000 HP drilling rig.

The deployment aligns with Cairn’s ongoing efforts to increase production and support its exploration initiatives in the region. Carin plans to use the drilling at its biggest onshore drilling plant located in Barmer, Rajasthan with an aim to increase operational efficiency, while maximizing plant operations and making plant operations more consistent.

The rig features a top drive system, automated pipe handling, and real-time data monitoring.

Commenting on the partnership with Parker Wellbore, which was recently acquired by Nabors Industries, CFO of Carin Oil & Gas Mr Hitech Vaid said “Cairn is leading large investments to accelerate exploration of unconventional resources in India.
