DreamFly Innovations To Set Up Manufacturing Facility In Bengaluru
Indian deep-tech company specializing in advanced aviation batteries Dreamfly Innovations on July 27, 2026 announced its plans to set up a manufacturing facility in North Bengaluru. The 40,000 sq. ft. facility will have an initial capacity of 100 MWh, scalable to 200 MWh. This will make the aviation battery manufacturing facility India facility dedicated to the drone sector.
A release by Dreamfly Innovations stated that with 77% indigenous content, the facility will support Indian drone manufacturers by developing power solutions domestically. It will help to reduce dependence on foreign products as well as contribute to the development of the country’s ecosystem for advanced manufacturing. The release also stated that the company’s facility also aligns with the government’s goals of Kisan Drone Policy that promoted drone usage for crop monitoring and pesticide spraying through financial subsidies and regulatory easing. It also aligns with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision of the government that aims to develop indigenous capability in strategic technology sector. With the use of drones becoming increasingly common in agriculture, construction, logistics, safety, and defense, developing indigenous capability in the field of aviation battery technology will be vital for achieving India’s goal of becoming a leader in drone manufacturing and exports.
