Environment Minister Emphasizes Auto Industry’s Role In Achieving Clean Energy Goals

Union Environment Minister Bhupinder Yadav lauded the automotive industry’s role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) laid down by the United Nations for affordable and clean energy.

Speaking at the Special Ministerial Session of the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Circularity, organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in New Delhi, the Minister emphasized that the automotive industry had played its role in achieving the SDG 7 goals. The SDG 7 goals laid down by UN aim for affordable and sustainable energy for all by the year 2030.

Mr Yadav also stressed the importance of renewable energy for EVs to reduce the environmental impact of battery charging.
