Renewable Energy Is The Backbone Of Peosperous Future: Pralhad Joshi

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi chaired a full-day session on advancing the renewable energy sector in Jaipur, Rajasthan on January 20. The session, titled Regional Review Meet on Renewable Energy, was co-chaired by Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Joshi said that India is currently the fifth largest economy of the world and would very shortly become the third largest economy of the world. This will mean more investments coming in India, more factories being built, more exports, more transportation, more infrastructure being built. For all this to happen, the basic need is power, he said. If India has to find her place in the world, we must go for renewable energy, he said.

Renewable energy is not just a goal—it’s the backbone of our sustainable and prosperous future, the minister added.
