Sunsure Energy Signs PPA With SECI for 300 MW Solar Park
Solar energy power producer Sunsure Energy signed its first utility-scale Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). According to this agreement, the company will will develop a state-of-the-art 300 MW (450 MWp) ISTS-connected solar park in Bikaner, Rajasthan. While announcing the news on its LinkedIn page, the company said the project, estimated to cost Rs1,800 crore, will be completed by December 2026. This will go towards the company’s goal of achieving 5 GW of operational capacity by 2028.
This PPA is Sunsure’s largest till now, and is part of SECI’s Tranche XIII auction for Inter-State Transmissions (ISTS) auction held in 2024 for bolstering solar capacity. In addition to this, Sunsure Energy has developed and installed solar power plants for power-intensive industrial customers across 16 Indian states.
